学习目标:
1.Knowledge aims：1.Learn about the changes to Sunshine Town.
2.Words， useful expressions:
interview，dump， waste，poison ，realize， reduce，get married， change a lot，
turn into， used to， in some ways， feel a bit lonely， from time to time
I moved here with my family when I was two years old，and I have lived here since then.
It’s very pleasant (to play Chinese chess).
The factory used to dump its waste into the river.
Later， the government realized it was a serious problem and took action to reduce the pollution.
It’s nice to have open space and pretty.
It has become more difficult to see some of my old friends.

Ⅰ.Revision
1.Revise the names of different transport. (show pictures)
Practise saying: Trains have been in use since1909. People began to use trains in 1909.
(Do the same thing with the other pictures)
2.Discuss: If you go to Shanghai(Beijing…)，what kind of transport can you choose to use?
Ⅱ. 展示
1.Show some pictures，and let students talk about the changes.
T: Just now we learned about changes to the transport， do you want to learn about other changes?
S: Yes!
T: Now look at the following pictures and talk about the changes. At the same time ，we’ll learn the new words and sentences in the text.
Slide1:
T: These are two photos of a couple. What information can you get from the photos?
S: When they got married， they were young. But now they are old. They have changed a lot.
Slide2:
T: Look at the first picture， what happened to the river?
S: The river was polluted. There are a lot of waste things in the river.
T: What caused it to be like this?
S: People or the factory used to dump waste into the river.
T: Yes! The poison in the waste killed fish and plants and polluted the river.
(Teacher can lead students to say together.)
T: Look at the second picture. How about the river now?
S: It’s much cleaner.
T: Yes， it has become clean and clear. Do you know why is it so clean now?
S: Because the government has realized the serious problem and has taken action to reduce the pollution. (students say with the teacher’s help and show the sentence while saying)

T: Look at the four pictures and compare them.
S: The wasteland has turned into a park.
The small old houses has turned into new flats.
2.Introduction: Sunshine Town has changed a lot over the years. Now Millie is interviewing Daniel’s grandpa ，Mr Chen to get some information for her history project.
